RHI Members

This is the highest level of accreditation. These Inspectors have achieved the highest level of educational requirements as set by the association and performed a predetermined number of paid inspections. They must also complete annual educational updates in order to maintain this designation.

Associate Members

Associate Members have finished the mandatory educational requirements of becoming an RHI, however have not yet finished the required number of paid inspections. Associate members must also complete annual educational updates in order to maintain this designation.

International Members

This is an international membership category. These inspectors are full ASHI® Certified Inspectors having passed the National Home Inspector Examination and ASHI’s Standards and Ethics module. Had inspection reports successfully verified for compliance with ASHI’s Standards of Practice and submitted valid proof of performance of at least 250 fee paid home inspections that meet or exceed the ASHI Standards of Practice. These inspectors have applied and had their credentials accepted by the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors but are not permitted to practice home inspections in Ontario. Inspectors are required to abide by the ASHI and the OAHI Code of Ethics.

Applicant Members

Applicant members are new to the association and have not completed the mandatory educational requirements, paid inspection requirement, or technical background review. Applicant members are bound to adhere to the standards of practice of and code of ethics of the association and are subject to the same disciplinary mechanisms as other membership categories.
